This data set is a composite of zoning within Chittenden County. In Vermont, zoning data is managed on a Town-by-Town basis. This composite enables an inter-Town comparison of permitted uses. The primary purpose of this zoning composite is to aid in the development and updating of the Planning Areas for the Chittenden County Regional Plan. This composite allows for comparison of zoning between towns with regards to residential density, land use, etc.
Supplemental Information
Data is updated on an ongoing basis. Zoning regulations for each town were reviewed and dimensional requirements were calculated in an Excel spreadsheet. Please refer to the TWN field to determine the year of the zoning map for each town.
