Economic Development

The Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission has partnered with the Greater Burlington Industrial Corporation (GBIC) on the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) through the ECOS project. The CEDS is a regional strategy which reflects local economic development needs and priorities and recommends a regional approach to achieving sustainable economic development. A CEDS is a prerequisite for federal Economic Development Administration assistance. Along with the other ECOS project Analysis Reports, the following two documents (Economic Base Analysis and Competitive Assessment) will be used to inform the CEDS as well as the Regional Plan.
