2013 Chittenden County Regional Plan

In October 2010, CCRPC was awarded a Sustainable Communities Regional Planning Grant from the Partnership of Sustainable Communities (U.S. Departments of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Transportation (DOT), and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The ECOS Project – “A Sustainable Future for Chittenden County”, represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to engage citizens, organizations and municipalities in a conversation about the future of our communities and the region as a whole. The major product of this project is an updated and enhanced 2013 Regional Plan for Chittenden County. Funded with $1 million grant from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development Sustainable Communities Project (with co-sponsorship from the EPA and U.S. DOT), the project is designed to develop a common vision, analyze existing trends, and prioritize and implement regional actions that will help make our community a more healthy, inclusive and prosperous community. The project is not starting from scratch, but rather is building upon all of the planning work done to date. Please visit the ECOS website for more information.
