Activity: Road closure

Reason: On Saturday, May 12, Main Street between Edmunds Middle School to Battery Street and north to Battery Park will be closed for the Kids Day Parade between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. Traffic control will be present.

Activity: Lane closure

Reason: Construction may limit traffic on Cherry Street at Church Street to one lane at times for the next two weeks.

Activity: Lane closures

Reason: Work on new sidewalks and curbing on Pearl Street east of St. Paul Street will continue throughout the summer.

Activity: 

Reason: Motorists should be alert for crews grading gravel roads and painting crosswalk throughout the town during the week, weather permitting. Traffic control will be present if necessary.

Activity: One lane traffic

Reason: Repaving of the westbound 189 bridge deck over I-89 will reduce traffic to one lane with a temporary traffic signal installed for traffic control. The speed limit is reduced to 25 miles per hour, and fines are doubled for speeding in the construction zone.

Activity: Traffic delays

Reason: Sewer expansion work on Middle Road at the intersection with Bombardier Road and Hobbs Road may cause long traffic delays through May 30. Traffic control will be present, and motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.

Activity: 

Reason: Travel over the Route 2 Checkered House Bridge in Richmond is detoured to a temporary, two-lane bridge over the Winooski River adjacent to the existing bridge. Activity: Alternating one way traffic

Reason: Painting of the Bridge Street iron truss bridge over the Winooski River will reduce travel to alternating one way traffic controlled by a temporary traffic signal. The speed limit is 15 miles per hour.

Activity: One lane travel

Reason: North Street from Union through Brisson Court will be reduced to one lane at times through mid-June for road construction. Traffic control will be present.

Activity: One lane travel.

Reason: Canal Street from Mayo to Morgan Lane will be reduced to one lane at times through the end of August for street reconstruction and utility replacement. Traffic control will be present, and motorists should be alert for changing traffic patterns.
