Safe Routes to School, Safe Routes for All Annual Gathering
Thursday, April 11, 2019
9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Barre Granite Museum, 7 Jones Brothers Way, Barre VT 05641
The event will bring together educators, planners, public health professionals, activists, and other safe routes champions on Thursday, April 11, 2019 from 9:00-4:00 at the Barre Granite Museum. The gathering is free and breakfast and lunch will be served.
This year, we aim to diversify participation by broadening the scope of the event to all those interested in gaining new insights to bring back to their own schools and communities. Our goal is to help attendees become even more powerful advocates for making their community and it’s schools safer places for everyone to walk and bike. Here is a sample of some of the exciting breakout sessions we’re offering this year:
- Reclaiming and Remaking Streets: Lessons from a Student-led Pop-up Project in Rutland
- Building Bridges: A Successful Community-School Partnership in Shelburne
- Funding your Safe Routes Projects: A Panel Discussion
- Tips & Tricks on Playing with the Built World!
