Emergency Management
As the nature and intensity of storms and other incidents increase, our ability to prepare for, respond to, and lessen risk of these disasters becomes ever more important. The CCRPC works closely with our member municipalities, the Local Emergency Planning Committee, and the Vermont Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security in all four phases of Preparedness, Response, Mitigation, and Recovery. We help towns prepare Local Emergency Operations Plans, facilitate trainings, and serve as key lines of communication between towns and the state in times of trouble. We also work to prepare both local and county wide All Hazard Mitigation Plans, and assist the state as needed at the Emergency Operations Center.
