Winooski Transportation Master Plan
The final plan has been completed. Read it here »
The City of Winooski and the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC) are collaborating in the development of a comprehensive multimodal transportation Plan for the City.
The Winooski TMP will seek to balance all modes of transportation within the existing public right-of-way and will provide a comprehensive list of roadway, transit, bicycle, pedestrian, and streetscape improvement recommendations that satisfy the overall vision for the City of Winooski. The Winooski TMP will be visionary but it will also include an action plan with low-cost improvements that the City could advance in the short term.

Two public meetings will be held to gather input from the community on transportation issues and opportunities (October 22, 2015) and provide feedback on transportation improvement recommendations (April 25, 2016).
Public Meeting # 2: April 25, 2016
Public Meeting # 1: October 22, 2015
Eight focus groups will be held to gather feedback from specific groups within the community: Winooski Officials and Transportation Partners; Elderly; Youth; and the Business Community.
Outreach To Underrepresented Populations
In addition to more traditional outreach and participation efforts, the City and the CCRPC are working with individuals and organizations experienced in community outreach to assist with gathering feedback from traditionally underserved and underrepresented communities in Winooski, including people/households with limited English proficiency, people of color, people with disabilities, low-income households, and new Americans.
As part of phase two participation, this survey aimed to help identify which implementation actions the City should prioritize and pursue.
Survey # 1
As part of phase one participation, this 5-minute survey asked for feedback on transportation in Winooski.
The Winooski Public Works Commission—a standing group of residents tasked to assist with strategic planning for the City’s Public Works Department—is acting as the Advisory Committee for this Plan.
