Since the early 2000s, Williston has been steadily working to complete a bicycle and pedestrian connection along the length of VT2A. Much of this connection has been successfully completed. In 2020 CCRPC began a scoping study with the Town of Williston and engineering consultant Stantec to evaluation a missing section of path between Beaudry Lane and the VSECU building at O’Brien Court. In 2016 the Town constructed a pedestrian bridge across Allen Brook and the bridge terminates at Beaudry Lane.

This scoping study will evaluate alternatives for connecting that pedestrian bridge with an existing path that terminates in front of the VSECU building adjacent to O’Brien Court. When this section is completed bicycle and pedestrian facilities will be available on VT2A from Marshall Avenue to Essex Junction.
