At their May 11, 2026 meeting, the Burlington City Council unanimously approved the Advisory Group and TEUC (Transportation, Energy, and Utilities Committee) recommended preferred alternative (Alternative 1). This study is now complete. | Final Report » | Final Appendices »

In partnership with Burlington Parks Recreation & Waterfront and the help of VHB, the CCRPC is studying the potential for a new shared use path connection to North Avenue in the general vicinity of the North Ave Beaches interchange. Coupled with this effort is examining the feasibility of future path widening and increasing the path’s protection from vehicle traffic.

ADVISORY GROUP

The role of the Advisory Group is to represent a range of perspectives; review study materials and provide feedback; communicate with and provide updates to their organizations/constituents; and participate in developing the purpose and need statement, alternatives, and recommendations. Ultimately, the City Council will consider and endorse the final recommendations of the Study.

Members of the public are welcome to attend Advisory Group meetings with the understanding that there will be limited opportunity for public input so that the Advisory Group can carry out their business. Meeting information will be posted here when scheduled.
