Implementation of a Chittenden County Stormwater Public Involvement and Participation Program

Proposal deadline: 4:00pm, Friday, January 20, 2023 | Questions due: 4:00pm, Friday, December 23, 2022

The Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC) is soliciting responses from qualified Contractors and/or Organizations to implement a multi-year program known as the Rethink Runoff Stream Team. The Stream Team, formed in 2010, is the mechanism by which twelve municipalities and organizations in urban and suburban Chittenden County fulfill the Public Involvement and Participation requirements (aka Minimum Measure #2) under their Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) permits. Rethink Runoff (www.rethinkrunoff.org) is the overall brand name launched in April 2017 that merged the Stream Team effort with a Public Outreach and Education campaign funded by these same twelve MS4s formerly known as the Regional Stormwater Education Program.

The CCRPC therefore issues the following RFP to obtain contractor services to implement “Stream Team” programming to meet the Minimum Measure #2 requirements of the MS4 permitees.

Questions & Answers:

Question #1: We are a small social media firm…… Are you open to receiving a proposal for just social media work, or were you looking for a do-it-all type proposal?

CCRPC Answer to #1: The response should cover the desired scope of work. That being said, we would consider a proposal that represents a partnership with your firm handling the Social Media elements and another firm taking care of the direct engagement with the public, organizing events/projects, etc.

Electric Assist Bikeshare Program

Proposal deadline: 4:00pm, Friday, January 27, 2023 | Questions due: 4:00pm, Friday, January 18, 2023

The Chittenden Area Transportation Management Association (CATMA), in partnership with the University of Vermont (UVM), Champlain College, and the cities of Burlington, South Burlington and Winooski (collectively the Client), invite qualified organizations, companies, vendors, manufacturers or other entities including local bike shop(s) (“Vendor”) to submit a proposal for a plan to be an exclusive provider of a modern electric assist bike share program in their jurisdictions that would serve as platform for expansion into other interested cities/towns. Other stakeholders that may serve as key partners include but are not limited to the University of Vermont Medical Center and other healthcare partners, walk/bike advocacy groups, advocates for historically underserved populations, and the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC). The ideal program will incorporate stateoftheart information technology with shared electric assist bicycles as a transportation alternative to motor vehicle trips for residents, employees, students, and visitors. | View the RFP »
