Milton Active Transportation Plan
latest news
Thanks to everyone for your input throughout this project! The draft Active Transportation Plan will be presented to the Selectboard on July 6 (agenda here).
The CCRPC, with help from consultant VHB, is working with the Town of Milton to develop a comprehensive and actionable plan for improving walking, biking, and rolling infrastructure to enhance placemaking, improve safety, expand transportation options, and foster a healthy and more equitable community. This plan, called an “active transportation plan,” emphasizes the role of physically active forms of travel in improving community health. Active transportation provides other community benefits such as economic development, quality of life, and environmental quality. The plan will benefit from robust public engagement to set a community driven vision, cultivate community ownership, and build advocacy for the plan’s implementation.
