NORTH AVENUE CORRIDOR STUDY
The public process for the North Avenue Corridor Study is outlined below. Please visit the full project page for current project information, including the final report.
public participation
The Public Involvement Plan is designed in the spirit of the CCRPC’s Public Participation Plan. The plan is predicated on an effective public involvement and outreach campaign that involves transportation stakeholders and the broader public early in the process, checks in with them frequently, and then supports an outreach effort to present the final plan. The intent of the public involvement effort is to further foster a spirit of inclusiveness and ownership of the North Avenue Corridor Study.
Public activities include four Public Meetings/Presentations. The purpose of the meetings is to gather meaningful input from and disseminate information to elected officials, area residents, businesses, institutions, and other stakeholders. Information from these meeting will be used to plan for more efficient and safe travel in the corridor for all users.
The study is sponsored by the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission in partnership with the City of Burlington and VTrans.
